Our team and collaborators regularly conduct excavations in World War II battlefields, often uncovering relics from that time. Every helmet we sell is authentic, original, and has its own unique history. For example, you can buy the following Heer helmets with photos from their excavation on our website:

Heer helmets with decals

The decals on German helmets were factory-applied with a durable lacquer coating, often outlasting the paint on the rest of the helmet. It’s common to find rusty helmets with well-preserved decals, especially in the aggressive soils of the Stalingrad area.

Heer helmets in perfect condition

Excavated German WW2 helmet in excellent condition

Occasionally, we acquire German WW2 helmets in excellent condition through:

  1. Helmets from private collections or purchased at auctions (not excavated).
  2. Helmets found in the swamps of Leningrad or Novgorod, where the lack of oxygen ensures exceptional preservation.

Although the price for such Heer helmets is high, with proper care, their condition ensures they retain or even increase in value over time, making them a worthwhile investment. You can view all the Heer helmets in perfect condition, available in our inventory, by following this link.

Complete Wehrmacht helmets

Since leather liners often degrade in the ground, most helmets we excavate are found without it. This makes helmets with intact liners and chin straps rare and highly valuable. Even more uncommon are helmets where the owner left their signature on the leather liner—though such unique pieces are also available for sale in our store!

Winter camo Heer helmets

When excavating areas associated with battles or troop positions between November 1942 and February 1943, we frequently find white camouflaged helmets. A rare find is a helmet that retains its decals under the winter camouflage.

Interesting fact: If we find a helmet with winter camouflage, we thoroughly search the surrounding area for other relics. During the winter of 1942-43 near Stalingrad, many German soldiers surrendered, discarding unnecessary items like helmets, medals, and personal belongings. Purchase Heer helmets in winter camouflage.
