German steel helmet M35 from airfield Gumrak

Product description

The helmet was found to the North of the airfield Gumrak in a large arroyo. It was a place that housed a small hospital for wounded Germans, expecting a shipment from the Stalingrad pocket in the hospital. Damage to the helmet was most likely obtained as a result of mortar shelling.
